Cassandra-SO

PURPOSE
The system is designed for long-term continuous, periodic or operational monitoring of the radio environment, digital signal processing and analysis, detection of unauthorized radio emissions in inspected premises, detailed radio signal research, localization of radiation sources, as well as for creating archives of radio monitoring results.

FUNCTIONALITY
The system performs radio monitoring within the operating frequency range, stores range panoramas, spectra of individual signals and basic radio engineering parameters of detected signals in computer memory. The system has 2 identical radio frequency channels and allows operation in synchronous mode (2 channels are frequency-synchronized) and asynchronous mode (each channel operates as an independent single-channel radio monitoring system).

The system performs the following tasks:
  • Dual-channel synchronous and asynchronous signal reception across the entire operating frequency range and automatic recording of basic radio engineering parameters of detected signals in computer memory
  • Panoramic spectral analysis
  • Radio signal parameter assessment
  • Digital analysis and automatic identification of DECT, TETRA, APCO-P25, DMR, Bluetooth, GSM, UMTS (3G), DVB-T2, ZigBee signals
  • WiFi network analysis
  • Vector signal analysis
  • Demodulation of analog video transmitters in the frequency band 30–21000 MHz
  • Analysis of high-frequency components in wired networks
  • Localization of radio emission sources in premises
  • Wired network monitoring
  • Documentation of monitoring results
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The main unit of the system is a compact monoblock. The main unit housing integrates:
  • 2 low-frequency antenna inputs (9 kHz–25 MHz)
  • 2 high-frequency antenna inputs (25 MHz–6 GHz)
  • 2 microwave antenna inputs (6 GHz–21 GHz)
  • LAN port
  • Power connector and power on/off controls

The system is controlled and its results are processed by a computer connected to the main unit via the LAN port. All information about system operation and received signals is presented to the operator in the form of graphs, diagrams, panoramas, spectrograms, and tables.
The main unit is powered by AC mains or an integrated battery.
