PURPOSE Continuous (24/7), periodic and long-term radio spectrum monitoring. Detection and localization of unauthorized radio emissions in inspected premises. Advanced signal analysis including digital processing. Creation of radio monitoring archives.
FUNCTIONALITY The system performs radio monitoring across the operational frequency range, recording range panoramas, individual signal spectra, and key radio-technical parameters of detected signals in computer memory.
Functionality of the "Cassandra K-21" System:
Signal reception across the entire operational frequency range, automatic measurement and recording of radio signal parameters (signal strength, estimated frequency, occupied bandwidth, transmission time) into computer memory.
Panoramic spectrum analysis over the full frequency range or selected sub-bands, detecting changes in the radio environment.
Data accumulation and management of a panoramic spectrum database, including measurement results processing.
HF and LF signal analysis with documented results.
Technical signal analysis:
Real-time digital (quadrature) signal processing, filtering, and decimation to the required bandwidth.
Real-time IQ data stream visualization.
Recording and playback of demodulated transmissions.
Localization of detected transmitters within a confined area.
Post-analysis mode: Amplitude-frequency-time analysis of emissions over the entire observation period.
Demodulation of analog video transmitters across the full operational frequency range.
Recording radio signals to a PC’s hard drive as spectra and IQ data for further processing.
Automatic Digital Standard Identification:
GSM (base stations)
UMTS (base stations)
DECT
Bluetooth
802.15.4 (ZigBee)
APCO
DMR
TETRA
DVB-T2
(with demodulation and packet header analysis to extract unique subscriber and base station IDs).
Wi-Fi network analysis.
Demodulation of analog AM/FM transmissions and digital transmissions (APCO, DMR, TETRA) operating in unencrypted mode.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION The radio monitoring equipment unit (hereinafter referred to as the hardware unit) is a compact monoblock housed in a shockproof case. The hardware unit contains:
RF switch
Radio receiver
Digital signal processing unit
Power supply unit
Battery
The unit's housing incorporates:
1 LF antenna input (9 kHz – 25 MHz)
4 HF antenna inputs (25 – 6000 MHz)
1 microwave antenna input (6 – 21 GHz)
Control PC interface port
Power connector
Power status indicators
Power on/off controls
The hardware unit performs signal reception and processing. System control, external device management, and data processing are performed by a laptop computer connected via LAN port. All operational data and received signal information is displayed to the operator as:
Graphs
Diagrams
Panoramas
Spectrograms
Tables
Power supply options:
AC mains
Built-in battery
The battery charges from AC mains during system operation. To prevent data loss during emergency shutdowns (in case of power failure), the unit automatically switches to battery power.
