SEARCH DOSIMETERS DKG-RM1703MO-1A / B

The DKG-RM1703MO family of dosimeters is a combination of a search device based on a CsI(Tl) scintillator and a gamma radiation DER meter based on a Geiger-Muller counter. Structurally, the devices consist of two parts: a DKG-RM1703MO-1A/B radiation detector equipped with a USB/Bluetooth module and an external computer (PC/PDA, smartphone) for data processing and radioisotope identification using PoliIdentifyTM software.

Data exchange between the radiation detector and PC/PDA/smartphone is carried out via a USB (DKG-RM1703MO-1A) or Bluetooth (DKG-RM1703MO-1B) channel. This two-component configuration is flexible and offers a number of advantages for the user. For example, the radiation detector can be used as a standard search device, which not only reduces the cost for novice users, but also provides the opportunity to upgrade the device in the future by adding network and identification functions. Moreover, the two-component design allows the user to be at a safe distance from the radioactive source during operation. Thus, an additional degree of protection is provided for the personnel conducting the radiation investigation.

Main characteristics:

  • Gamma radiation detector: CsI (Tl) scintillator for searching for radioactive materials;
  • Energy-compensated radiation detector: Geiger-Muller counter for measuring DER;
  • Sound, vibration and light alarm;
  • Non-volatile memory;
  • Communication with a computer via infrared channel, USB (DKG-RM1703MO-1A) or Bluetooth (DKG-RM1703MO-1V);
  • Impact-resistant plastic housing;
  • Light weight and small dimensions;
  • Ease of use.

The main additional functions of the DKG-RM1703MO-1A/V search dosimeters relative to the basic DKG-RM1703MO-1 model:

1. USB or Bluetooth connection.

The DKG-RM1703MO-1A is equipped with a USB, and the DKG-RM1703MO-1V with a Bluetooth module for exchanging information between the radiation detector and a laptop, smartphone or pocket personal computer (PDC). The device accumulates the gamma spectrum of the detected source and transmits it via a USB / Bluetooth channel for spectrum analysis and radioisotope identification using specially developed PoliIdentifyTM software.

2. Radioisotope identification using PoliIdentifyTM software.

Special software for radioisotope identification on a laptop / PDA / smartphone and determining the radionuclide composition of the detected radioactive source. Identification of a mixture of radioisotopes is possible. PoliIdentifyTM software has two operating modes: automatic for untrained users and expert mode for professionals.

3. Network functions.

Search dosimeters with identification function have the ability to network integration and data exchange in real time with a remote Command Center via GSM/GPRS connection. The NPNET geoinformation system for radiation monitoring can be deployed in the Command Center for operational management and work of experts. Experts in real time have the ability to conduct independent repeated radioisotope identification based on accumulated spectra, control the location of the device user on the map, professionally interpret radioisotope identification data and assess the level of danger.
