It is designed to detect sweat and grease fingerprints on a light surface. For dark surfaces, it is recommended to use the MDR-B reagent.
The finely dispersed MDR-Ch reagent is an aqueous suspension. The reagent adheres to the sweat and grease components of fingerprints and reveals them in black tones. MDR-Ch is used to detect fingerprints on smooth, porous, metal, plastic, including wet surfaces.
This reagent is used instead of or after a physical developer. Traces can be carefully removed using traditional fingerprinting materials (fingerprint film or tape). The reagent can be used to process fingerprints detected by ninhydrin to enhance their contrast.
The MDR-Ch reagent allows you to detect traces that are not detected by ninhydrin. In small concentrations, MDR-Ch enhances traces detected by silver nitrate, which is especially important for traces that were formed a long time ago.
Distinctive features of MDR from foreign analogues:
once detected, the trace remains for a long time (several days);
the detected trace can be transferred to fingerprint film, lifter or tape;
shelf life in dry form is at least 1 year. Shelf life after dilution is at least 2 weeks;
quantity in the package: reagent per 1 liter (4 * 0.25).
