Technical information The X-ray television system with automatic detection of explosives HI-SCAN 10080a is a further development of the development of the proven NEOSCAN technology. The parameters of the unit meet all the requirements for inspection equipment, under conditions of 100% baggage inspection. Modern technical solutions were used in the creation of the X-ray unit, detection subsystem, and automatic image processing system of the unit. This allows HI-SCAN 10080a to demonstrate the highest detection rates in its class.
The tunnel dimensions of 107 x 81 cm (WxH) allow for inspection of oversized items, eliminating the need to resort to alternative inspection technologies. The maximum length of the inspected object is 3.8 meters.
Thanks to the low percentage of false alarms and a conveyor speed of 0.5 m/s, the unit is capable of processing up to 1800 objects per hour. The conveyor speed of 0.5 m/s also allows for easy integration of HI-SCAN 10080a into automatic conveyor systems and multi-level inspection systems. Installed at Level 1, the HI-SCAN 10080a automatically inspects all items. Those items with dangerous or prohibited contents are moved to the next inspection levels, while all other items are sent to their final destination. The typical configuration of a multi-level inspection system is that items with dangerous or prohibited contents detected at Level 1 are automatically sent to Level 2 for further X-ray television image examination by an operator. If necessary, the item is sent to Level 3, and so on. As the security level increases, the time spent on analyzing the item and its contents increases.
The low false alarm rate of the HI-SCAN 10080a allows for flexible design of effective inspection at subsequent inspection levels in accordance with the security plan. Automatic threat detection with a low false alarm rate and high productivity allows for a reduction in the number of security personnel at the protected facility and the associated costs.
