The product is used to ensure security and combat terrorism and illegal trafficking of explosives by identifying individuals who have had contact with explosives.
The MO-2D document explosives trace detector is designed to detect explosives traces directly on documents (passports, IDs, plastic cards, etc.) and/or in samples collected with sampling wipes from the surface of the objects being examined.
The detector's operating principle The detector's operating principle is based on the effect of nonlinear dependence of ion mobility in an alternating electric field.
The document being examined is placed in the document receiver, where its surface is heated by a stream of warm air. In this case, the particles of substances located on the surface of the document form vapors. The resulting vapors enter the detector's analytical tract, where they are ionized by an X-ray source. The obtained ions are separated by mobility by an electric field, the parameters of which are selected in such a way that the electronic circuit of the detector registers only ions of certain substances.
When traces of explosives are detected on the document being examined, an alarm signal is generated.
The operating mode of the analytical tract is constantly automatically adjusted in accordance with changes in humidity and ambient temperature.
Distinctive features Availability of a specialized program that provides: - control of the operation of detector units; - collection and storage of data; - presentation and storage of ionograms of survey results; - the ability to transfer data to an external computer.
To identify the type of explosive detected, it is possible to collect and save samples for their subsequent analysis on the chromatograph "GHS-02P", manufactured by ZAO "SIBEL".
The MO-2D detector can be operated around the clock without switching off.
The MO-2D detector does not contain radioactive materials.
The operation of the MO-2D detector does not require approval from the territorial bodies of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.
