The MKS-RM1401K-3 series devices are upgraded devices of the MKS-RM1401K/M family, which have proven themselves well among various user groups. The MKS-RM1401K-3 is a new integrated device that combines the functions of a search device, a dosimeter-radiometer, and a radionuclide identifier. Small size, tightness, shockproof housing, and an LCD equipped with a fluorescent backlight make the devices convenient for use in harsh and unfavorable climatic conditions. In real time, the devices provide a solution to a whole range of radiation monitoring problems. The main differences between the new MKS-RM1401K - 3 devices and the MKS-RM1401K/M series are: the ability to measure the volumetric and specific activity of gamma-emitting isotopes in samples, a built-in radionuclide identification function, increased button size, and a built-in GPS.
Thus, the new series of devices combines the following functions:
Gamma-neutron search device
Alpha-beta-gamma radiation radiometer
Gamma spectrometer
Radioisotope gamma identifier
The devices are available in the following modifications:
RM1401K-3 — equipped with built-in detectors of alpha, beta, gamma, and neutron (based on the He-3 counter) radiation. RM1401K-3M — equipped with built-in detectors of alpha, beta, and gamma radiation, without a neutron detector. RM1401K-3A — equipped with built-in detectors of alpha, beta, gamma, and neutron (1 LiI(Eu)-based scintillator) radiation. RM1401K-3P — equipped with built-in detectors of alpha, beta, gamma, and neutron (3 LiI(Eu)-based scintillator of increased volume) radiation.
Main characteristics:
Detection of alpha, beta, gamma and neutron radiation sources
Search and localization by photon (X-ray and gamma), neutron, alpha and beta radiation
Measuring the dose rate of gamma radiation
Measuring the degree of surface alpha and beta contamination
Measuring the volumetric and specific activity of isotopes
Identification of radionuclide composition using special built-in software (does not require additional external devices)
Built-in sound and light alarm
External vibration alarm for hidden detection and operation in places with increased noise levels
Non-volatile memory
Metal shockproof case (IP65 protection rating)
Compact size and light weight
Clip for wearing on a belt
User software runs on Windows 7
Features: 1.Measuring volumetric and specific activity of gamma-emitting isotopes (special package). The device functionality allows measuring volumetric and specific activity of the cesium-137 radionuclide in liquids and bulk products. 2.Integrated identification function. 3.The device allows for quick and expert identification without using an external computer. Linking measurement data to the geographic coordinate GPS. 4.Network functions.
Dosimeters-radiometers with the identification function MKS-RM1401K-3 -/A/P/M have the ability to network integration and exchange data in real time with a remote Command Center via a GSM/GPRS connection channel through an external device. The NPNET® geographic information system for radiation monitoring can be deployed in the Command Center for operational control and expert work. Experts have the ability to conduct independent re-identification of radioisotopes in real time using accumulated spectra, monitor the location of the device user on the map, professionally interpret radioisotope identification data and assess the level of danger.
