RespondeR RCI (Raman Chemical Identifier) ​​is a lightweight, portable spectrometer for detecting solid and liquid substances such as explosives, white powders, weapons of mass destruction (WMD), and toxic industrial chemicals (TIC).

The device has the ability to place samples in a built-in compartment. It is also possible to point the device at the objects to be analyzed and conduct analysis without direct contact with the samples.

RespondeR RCI is waterproof and has increased durability. It is easy to operate and features an integrated touchscreen computer.

Raman technology is often used for on-site confirmation of FT-IR chemical analysis results. Spectra from the RespondeR RCI can be wirelessly transmitted to the HazMatlD™ FT-IR Chemical Identifier or to an external laptop computer for processing of the information obtained by these complementary technologies.
