DENSITY CHANGE DETECTOR (CONTRABAND DETECTOR) DIP-A01M

PURPOSE AND APPLICATION
The device is designed to detect contraband items (weapons, explosives, drugs, currency, etc.) located behind panels, partitions or inside closed spaces. DIP-A01M is used as a “contraband detector” in customs services, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB and other agencies, to detect hidden attachments inside the cavities of various vehicles, containers and other objects.

APPLICATION
In security and customs inspection services

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The operating principle of the device is based on the effect of backscattering of gamma radiation. Radiation from the source penetrates into the object being examined (through the casing, packaging, partition, etc.) and scatters. Part of the scattered radiation is recorded by a detector installed in the device. The intensity of the recorded radiation depends on the presence of the scattering object and its properties (the average density of the scanned volume). By changing the intensity of the registered scattered radiation, the relative values of which are shown on the display, one can judge the change in the density of the object. And a change in density in places where it should be unchanged indicates the presence of unauthorized attachments or hiding places in the control zone.
