Miniature gamma search devices in lightweight cases made of impact-resistant plastic for searching and localizing radioactive and nuclear materials. They have a built-in sound, light and vibration alarm.
ISP-PM1703M/MA The ISP-RM1703M and ISP-RM1703MA search meters and alarms are highly sensitive compact search devices designed to detect and localize radioactive materials. The devices have two operating modes: searching for radioactive sources by their external gamma radiation and assessing the radiation level in μSv/h (along the 137Cs line in collimated radiation).
Main features:
CsI(Tl) scintillation detector for searching for radioactive materials;
Built-in sound, vibration and light alarm;
Non-volatile memory;
Communication with a personal computer via an infrared channel;
Shockproof plastic housing;
Low weight and small size;
Ease of use.
When switched on or at the user's command, the device automatically measures and remembers the radiation background in the control zone. In the future, it immediately responds when the background value is exceeded, notifying about it with a sound, light and/or vibration signal for hidden detection or work in places with increased noise levels. This function ensures adequate automatic adaptation of the device to changes in the background level and simplifies the localization of the radioactive source in conditions of increased radiation intensity (localization of a point source against the background of a distributed radioactive source).
The algorithm used in the ISP-RM1703M and ISP-RM1703MA search alarm meters allows the user to change the value of the preset threshold depending on the requirements for the frequency of false alarms and the probability of detecting the radiation source.
The non-volatile memory of the device stores the history of its operation, including the fact and time of operation, the level of excess in relation to the set threshold, as well as information on the status of the indicator-alarm parameters. This information can be transmitted to a personal computer via an infrared communication channel for further processing, analysis and control.
The measuring-alarm devices are easy to maintain, and no special qualifications or training of the user are required to operate the device.
ISP-PM1703MB In addition to the functions of the ISP-RM1703M and ISP-RM1703MA models, the ISP-RM1703MV can also be used to perform primary radioisotope identification. The ISP-RM1703MV is equipped with a Bluetooth module for wireless remote information exchange between the radiation detector and a pocket personal computer (PPC) or laptop. ISP-RM1703MV accumulates the gamma spectrum of the detected source and transmits it via Bluetooth to the PDA for spectrum analysis and radioisotope identification using specially developed PoliIdentifyTM software. The Bluetooth module and two-component (radiation detector and PDA) design allow the user to be at a safe distance from the radioactive source during operation. Thus, an additional degree of protection is provided for the personnel conducting the radiation investigation.
