SEARCH DOSIMETERS DKG-RM1703MO-1 AND DKG-RM1703MO-2

Two devices in one: a unique combination of a search device and a gamma radiation dosimeter, designed to search for and localize radioactive sources and measure the equivalent dose rate (DER).

The devices are lightweight and small in size and are equipped with two gamma radiation detectors: a CsI(Tl) scintillator and a Geiger-Muller counter.

The DKG-RM1703MO family of dosimeters is a combination of a search device and a gamma radiation DER meter based on a CsI(Tl) scintillator and a Geiger-Muller counter. The devices combine high functionality and performance due to their unique characteristics, small size and weight, and ease of use.

The dosimeter allows you to record the activity of radionuclides 134Cs, 137Cs in various samples, such as food, drinking water, various liquids, bulk building materials, soil, etc. In addition, with the help of the dosimeter, you can record the activity of radionuclides in various samples located in product packaging, for example, boxes, crates, bags, and meat, fish, etc. - in pieces or carcasses weighing up to 50 kg.

The dosimeter has the following modes:

  • registration of specific (volume) activity without preliminary sample preparation (from 100 Bq/kg (Bq/l) to 9999 Bq/kg (Bq/l) at a background level of no more than 0.15 μSv/h
  • registration of surface activity in soils, grounds in the in situ registration geometry (without sampling in natural occurrence areas), the range of registration of surface activity from 0.5 to 99.9 Bq/cm2.

Main characteristics:

  • Gamma radiation detector: CsI(Tl) scintillator for searching for radioactive materials;
  • Energy-compensated radiation detector: Geiger-Muller counter for measuring DER (together with CsI(Tl) scintillator);
  • Sound, vibration and light alarm;
  • Non-volatile memory;
  • Communication with a computer via infrared channel;
  • Impact-resistant plastic housing;
  • Light weight and small dimensions;
  • Easy to use.

Currently, the DKG-RM1703MO family of dosimeters is available in two modifications:

Dosimeter DKG-RM1703MO-1
has a wide range of equivalent dose rate measurements and a modified display for better reading of the device readings. Upon separate order, the device can be supplied with a charger for power supply from the vehicle's on-board network and a special bracket for mounting the dosimeter on the vehicle's dashboard.

Dosimeter DKG-RM1703MO-2
was developed taking into account the requirements of experts and users of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and is widely used to ensure radiation safety of international events such as the Olympic Games, Pan American Games, etc.
