Noise generator GSh-2500MS

The noise generator GSh-2500MS (version TIDN.464217.010), hereinafter referred to as the "generator", is a technical means of type "A" and "B" of active information protection and is designed to mask informative side electromagnetic emissions and interference (SEMI) of personal computers, workstations at computing facilities up to and including category 2 by forming and emitting an electromagnetic noise field into the surrounding space and by inducing a masking signal into outgoing circuits and utility lines in a wide frequency range.

The generator is designed for protection class 2 and can be used in dedicated rooms up to and including category 2.

Consists of a generator unit with a radiating antenna and a power supply.

Structurally, the generator block is placed in a plastic cast housing. The radiating antenna system consists of a rod and a frame antenna enclosed in a plastic shell and fixed to the side walls of the metal chassis of the generator block using shaped nuts. It is possible to rotate the plane of the frame antenna relative to the generator block housing around an axis passing through the side walls of the housing. In this case, the antenna can rotate at an angle of ±180° and be fixed within these limits at any angle using shaped nuts on the side walls of the metal chassis of the generator block.

One generator provides masking (protection) of information of computing devices located in a room with an area of ​​~ 40 m2.

To protect information from leakage due to PEMIN in large data centers, in terminal rooms, powerful computing complexes, it is recommended to use several generators, placing them along the perimeter of the facility. The maximum distance between adjacent generators should be no more than 20 meters.

Electromagnetic fields generated by the generator at a distance of more than 1 m from the antenna do not exceed the permissible level during an eight-hour stay of personnel at their workplaces and comply with GOST 12.1.006, SanPiN 2.2.4.1191, and at a distance of 10 m they meet the requirements of the State Commission for Radio Frequencies No. 05-10-03-001 and GOST R 51318.22.

The technical characteristics of the generator comply with the requirements of the regulatory document "Requirements for active means of information protection against leakage due to PEMIN" (FSTEC of Russia, 2014).

The generator is equipped with:

a visual and sound indication system for normal and emergency operation modes;

a counter for operating time in the masking signal generation mode;

a technological output for monitoring and measuring the main operational characteristics.

The generator is equipped with:

adjustment of the integral output power level;

protection of the adjustment elements from unauthorized changes and detection of unauthorized access to them.

The generator is powered from an alternating current network with a voltage of (220+22−33) V and a frequency of (50±1) Hz through a network adapter with a voltage of (5±0.4) V. The current consumption in the 5 V circuit is no more than 500 mA (connection to a USB port of a personal computer is possible).
