The Kerberos IDS can be used as part of an inspection complex at transport infrastructure facilities as a detector of traces of explosives (Conclusion of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Military Unit 35533" No. 16/16/C6/2/1844).
The Kerberos IDS as a technical means of detecting and identifying explosives has a sensitivity that allows it to determine the presence of the following explosives and their components: nitroamines (hexogen, octogen, tetryl), nitroesters (nitroglycerin, ethylene glycol dinitrate, PETN), nitroaromatic compounds (TNT, dinitrotoluene), organic peroxide compounds (acetone peroxide, HMTD), inorganic nitrates (ammonium, potassium and sodium nitrate), as well as mixed explosives based on them.
ADVANTAGES Simultaneous detection of positive and negative ions Non-radioactive ionization source Extremely low operating costs Wide range of detectable substances Efficient self-cleaning system SCOPE OF APPLICATION inspection of cargo, vehicles and people during customs control (inspection); inspection of suspects by law enforcement agencies; inspection of postal items, etc. The detector can be used to inspect territories, premises, mobile objects and cargo during customs and border control, in forensic laboratories of various departments, analytical laboratories of industrial enterprises and research institutions.
